Barilinco is an oral antibiotic medication containing the active ingredient Lincomycin (500 mg). It belongs to a class of drugs known as lincosamide antibiotics. It is primarily used to treat serious bacterial infections in patients who are allergic to penicillin or when other antibiotics are not suitable. It is effective against various Gram-positive bacteria that cause infections of the respiratory tract, skin, soft tissues, and bones (osteomyelitis).
