CIPROTAB-TN is an oral antibiotic and antiprotozoal medication containing two active ingredients: Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole. It belongs to a class of combination therapies used to treat a broad range of mixed bacterial and parasitic infections, particularly those affecting the gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, and reproductive organs.

This combination works through a dual mechanism: Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA replication to kill a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, while Tinidazole targets anaerobic bacteria and protozoa by damaging their DNA. Together, they provide comprehensive coverage for complex infections that a single agent might not fully resolve.

CAUTION: This is a prescription-only medication. You must avoid all alcohol consumption during treatment and for at least 72 hours after the final dose, as Tinidazole can cause a severe reaction (nausea, vomiting, and flushing) when mixed with alcohol.  Common side effects may include a metallic taste, nausea, or dizziness.
