Carbiroid (Carbimazole) is a prescription medicine used to treat an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism). It contains carbimazole, which is converted in the body into its active form (methimazole). This active form works by reducing the production of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4), helping to bring thyroid levels back to normal. It is commonly used in conditions like Graves’ disease.
